C. Torbor Won was born in Grand Kru County on September 18, 1924. He is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family. “I have been young, and now I am old, yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seeds begging bread (Psalm 37:25).” On days like today, its difficult for one to say the right words of comfort to make the pain go away. When the heart sees no relief, we are led to believe the help we need must be divine, and only divine assistance will carry us through our sorrow. Words cannot express how much we are going to miss Dad, from his special spot in the corner of the front porch. We also know that he was sent here by his creator to deliver a message. He has performed his duty, and has return to the earth from whence he came. We are grateful to God for the time he spent with us, and for a job well done. We called him Dad, Papa, C.T, brother, uncle Torbor, uncle Won, and father for the very special role he played in our lives. He was not a wealthy man, but he took care of our family and others, both morally and financially. He was not a lawyer, yet he settled disputes between friends and families. He did not have much, but he shared with his fellow man because he was a humanitarian and elder of his community. He had no PhD. but he was an educator. He came alone into this world, but died a family man. Some called him radical, but we referred to him as a disciplinarian. Education was his number one priority; for this, people gave him the title "Socrates". He was not an ordained minister, but he prayed and offered words of comfort for others. He lived a simple life, but he was not a common man. He never fought a battle, but he was a conqueror. Therefore, we the family give God the glory for the life he lived. Dad, you never leave our hearts and your memories live on forever. We think of you each and everyday of our lives. Mom is missed also. It's so sad that she left a year after you departed this earth. Those precious moments with you our beloved parents, is missed by all of us who you held dear. May light perpetual shine upon you both and may we follow the foot prints of life you left behind. We love you Mom & Dad
